Local Vibe

The Itacaré area is an explosion of colors, sounds, smells, flavors, and textures that will
stimulate your senses. There are only a few places in the world where nature has been
so generous in offering such a diverse group of attractions concentrated in a single
place. We often refer to our area as a "broccoli bulb",  because after driving through the
jungle mountains to get from one beach to the next you feel as if you were in the middle
of a huge broccoli head with sun shining all over you.

From the local outdoor markets to the street artisans, the Itacaré area will create a
sense of tribe. Every local has a smile on their face, and "why not"?  Living in this
tranquil environment without all of the economic stresses that a big city has will help with
this mental mind frame. With love and passion in their hearts and the spirit of historic
Brasil pulsating through their veins, the local inhabitants will enlighten your senses and
bring a smile to your face. Time has no importance, and although it's a small town,
Itacaré has a lively night life all year long, boasting famous bands that come through to
visit and play.
Forró and reggae are the most common types of music on the local
scene. For those who don't know how to dance forró there are always some local
"Itacareenses" eager to teach a few steps.

Each year visitors arrive from the most improbable places in the world to see up close
what it is this little piece of Bahia has that is so special:

People are beautiful; the area is pristine; waves are luscious; adventures
abound, and music is everywhere.

Feel the small place within the heartbeat of Brasil that we call home... Come feel the
vibration.

"Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself
to it."
- Buddha
"Man cannot save the natural environment except by rediscovering the nexus between the spirit and nature and becoming
once again aware of the sacred quality of the works of the Supreme artisan. And man cannot gain such an awareness of the
sacred aspect of nature without discovering the sacred within himself or herself."
